Designed to promote adhesion between the natural nail plate and the product applied over it, The Bonder creates the crucial link between your nail preparation and product application.

Used after The Dehydrator, The Bonder is applied to the prepared natural nail plate before any Tayla-Made core gel product that requires adhesion to the natural nail.

Whether you're applying The Base Colour, The Base, The Foundation or The Builder, if your Tayla-Made gel product is being applied to the natural nail plate, The Bonder comes first.

After application, The Bonder air sets and forms an adhesion-promoting film on the natural nail. The surface will remain tacky — this is exactly what you want. This tacky adhesive film is ready for the Tayla-Made gel product that follows.

No UV or LED curing is required for The Bonder.

At Tayla-Made Nail Co, our approach to preparation is simple: achieve the adhesion you need while preserving as much of the natural nail as possible.

The purpose of nail preparation isn't to aggressively file away layers of the natural nail plate in an attempt to make product stick. Every unnecessary pass of a file removes a little more of the natural nail.

Instead, our preparation system uses products with specific jobs. The Cuticle Remover assists in removing true cuticle and non-living tissue. The Dehydrator temporarily removes surface moisture and oils. The Bonder promotes adhesion between the prepared natural nail plate and your Tayla-Made gel product.

Together, these preparation steps help create the foundation needed for product adhesion while supporting our philosophy of preserving the integrity of the natural nail wherever possible.

How to Use

1. Prepare — Ensure true cuticle and non-living tissue have been thoroughly removed from the natural nail plate. Complete any additional preparation required for your chosen nail service.
2. Dehydrate — Apply The Dehydrator to the exposed natural nail plate and allow it to air dry completely. The nail plate should appear chalky and dry. Avoid touching the prepared nail plate.
3. Apply The Bonder — Using the curved/rounded precision brush, apply a thin, controlled layer of The Bonder to the natural nail plate. Avoid unnecessary contact with surrounding skin.
4. Allow to Air Set — Allow The Bonder to air set. As it air sets, it forms an adhesion-promoting film on the natural nail. The surface will remain tacky once ready. Do not wipe. No UV or LED curing is required.
5. Apply Your Tayla-Made Gel Product — Once The Bonder has air set and reached its tacky stage, continue directly with your chosen Tayla-Made core gel product: The Base Colour, The Base, The Foundation or The Builder.

That tacky adhesive film helps create the link between the natural nail and the Tayla-Made gel product applied over it.

Using The Bonder During an Infill

During an infill or rebalance service, The Bonder is primarily required where fresh natural nail growth is exposed.

After completing your preparation, apply The Dehydrator and The Bonder to the exposed natural nail regrowth.

There is generally no need to coat the entire existing enhancement with The Bonder because that product is already bonded to the nail.

Concentrate application on the natural nail regrowth, with only minimal overlap onto properly prepared existing product where necessary.

Professional Tips

Tacky Means Ready

Unlike The Dehydrator, which air dries leaving the nail plate chalky and dry, The Bonder should remain tacky.

As The Bonder air sets, it forms an adhesion-promoting film on the natural nail. Once this film has formed and the surface is tacky, don't wipe it away.

That tacky adhesive film is ready for your Tayla-Made gel product to be applied directly over it.

Tacky is not unfinished. Tacky means the adhesive film is ready.

Natural Nail = Bonder

An easy way to remember where The Bonder belongs is: if fresh Tayla-Made gel product is going onto the natural nail plate, apply The Bonder first.

During a fresh application, this generally means the entire prepared natural nail plate.

During an infill, concentrate The Bonder on the exposed natural nail regrowth rather than unnecessarily coating the entire existing enhancement.
