Dispense a small amount onto your palette and use your preferred nail art brush or tool to manipulate the product into your desired design. Once you're happy with the shape and placement, cure for the complete 60 seconds to set the design.

The Gem Adhesive also opens up another creative possibility when creating raised designs — chrome detailing.

Create your dimensional design using The Gem Adhesive and cure completely for 60 seconds. You can then incorporate compatible chrome products and finishing techniques according to the effect you are creating.

This can be used to create metallic-looking raised lines, swirls and textured effects that stand above the nail surface. Instead of simply painting a design onto the nail, you can build the design first and then transform its finish.

How to Use — Gems, Crystals & Charms

1. Complete your nail. Complete your chosen Tayla-Made colour application and finish the underlying nail surface according to the design you are creating before securing the embellishment. Avoid unnecessarily coating over the visible surface of crystals or gems, as this can dull their facets and reduce their reflective finish.
2. Apply the Gem Adhesive. Using the precision nozzle, dispense an appropriate amount of The Gem Adhesive exactly where your embellishment will be positioned. Alternatively, dispense a small amount onto a palette and apply using your preferred nail art brush or tool.
3. Position. Place your gem, crystal, rhinestone or charm into the adhesive. Gently position the embellishment until you are happy with its placement. Ensure there is sufficient contact between the embellishment and adhesive without unnecessarily covering the decorative surface.
4. Cure. Once correctly positioned, cure The Gem Adhesive for 60 seconds under a compatible UV/LED nail lamp.
5. Check. Check that the embellishment is securely held before completing the service.

How to Use — 3D Nail Art

1. Prepare your product. Dispense a small amount of The Gem Adhesive onto a clean nail art tile or palette.
2. Choose your tool. Select the brush or nail art tool appropriate for the design you are creating.
3. Create your design. Pick up a small amount of product and manipulate it into your desired raised design. Create lines, curves, droplets, textures or other dimensional details. Because the product is thick and controlled, you have time to refine the design before curing.
4. Cure. Once you are satisfied with the design, cure for 60 seconds under a compatible UV/LED nail lamp.
5. Finish. Leave the design as created or continue with your chosen compatible nail art finish, such as chrome, according to the effect you are creating.

How Much Product Should You Use?

Enough to hold — not enough to flood

More adhesive doesn't automatically mean better adhesion. The goal is to use enough product to create secure contact between the embellishment and the nail without flooding the surrounding area.

The amount required will vary depending on the size, shape and underside of the embellishment you are applying. A small flat-backed crystal will require considerably less product than a larger or more dimensional charm.

Start with a controlled amount. Position the embellishment. Then assess whether additional product is required.

Controlled application gives you a cleaner result.

Professional Tips

Secure around it — don't bury it

When securing gems and crystals, you don't need to completely cover the embellishment in adhesive. Place enough product underneath and around the base to create secure contact while keeping the visible surface of the crystal clean. This helps maintain the clarity, facets and reflective finish that make the embellishment stand out in the first place.

Secure the gem. Don't hide it.

Build your design before you cure

The Gem Adhesive doesn't cure until you put it under your UV/LED lamp. Use that working time. When creating dimensional nail art, manipulate the gel until you are happy with the height, shape and placement of your design. Look at the nail from different angles before curing.

Once you are happy: cure for the complete 60 seconds and lock it in.

The Gem Adhesive is formulated HEMA Free and TPO Free, consistent with the Tayla-Made Nail Co gel system.

As with all professional UV/LED gel products, avoid contact with the skin and surrounding tissue and ensure the product receives its complete required cure.
