2 · How it Works

How the Tayla-Made System Works

The Tayla-Made system has been designed to flow logically from preparation through to the finished service. Not every service will use every product — choose the base or structure that suits the natural nail and the service you are creating.

Colour Me Pretty + Tayla-Made

Your existing Colour Me Pretty collection remains part of the journey. All Colour Me Pretty products are compatible with the Tayla-Made system, so you do not need to replace or discard products you already own. CMP gel colours can continue to be used with your Tayla-Made base or structural products, and the two ranges can be used alongside each other.

Prep

The Cuticle Remover

Softens and loosens true cuticle and non-living tissue so the natural nail plate can be properly prepared.

Dehydrate

The Dehydrator

Temporarily removes surface moisture, oils and contaminants from exposed natural nail.

Bond

The Bonder

Creates the adhesion-promoting link between the prepared natural nail and the Tayla-Made gel product applied over it.

Important

The Bonder remains part of the preparation system even when using The Base Colour. The Base Colour replaces a separate base coat in a standard Base Colour service — it does not replace The Bonder.

5 · Our Story

Sometimes starting again doesn’t mean starting from nothing.

Tayla-Made Nail Co. was created from more than a decade of experience building Colour Me Pretty — learning what nail techs actually use, what works, what could be simplified and what we would do differently if we had the opportunity to start again.

Rather than simply rebrand what already existed, we chose to start with a clean slate: take everything CMP got right, learn from everything we would change and build a smaller, more considered professional system for the nail industry as it is today.

The name itself is personal. Tayla is my daughter — and Tayla-Made also carries the meaning of tailor-made: made with purpose, made thoughtfully and made for the people who will actually use it.

CMP was where I learnt how to do this. Tayla-Made is what I’m doing with everything I’ve learnt.

Can I use my Colour Me Pretty products with Tayla-Made?

Yes. All Colour Me Pretty products are compatible with the Tayla-Made system. There is no need to replace or discard your existing CMP products, gel colours or salon collection. You can continue using Colour Me Pretty alongside Tayla-Made and introduce the new range gradually as it suits your services.

Keep what you love. Add what works for you.

Tayla-Made is designed to sit alongside Colour Me Pretty, not make your existing collection obsolete. Your CMP colours can continue to be used with Tayla-Made products, giving you the freedom to transition, mix and build your collection at your own pace.
