What is Colour Me Pretty Gel Polish?

Like any quality polish application, the Gel Colour Polish system features a Base Coat, Colour Coat and Top Coat. Unlike traditional polish it cures under a UV lamp or L.E.D. lamp so there is zero dry time.

Why can’t I view the Professional Products on the website?

We have several product lines that are only available to Trade Professionals.  To gain access to these products you need to provide proof of your training or enrolment in training (if you are a student currently studying).

How do I get access to view & purchase the Professional Products on the website?

Send an email to

You must include –

  • a photograph of your proof of training or enrolment in a course (for students currently studying)
  • please include the email address you use to login to your account on the website.  If you don’t have an account, create one and then advise us of the email address you used

Please allow an appropriate business time frame to respond to your email.

We will then upgrade your account to Professional which will then give you access to all of the products and once we have done this we will send you a reply email notifying you.  Please check your junk inbox in case our email is sent to that.

What happens if I cannot remember my account password?

The website has the ability to help you reset your password.  Alot of times it will send you an email to do this.  This email tends to end up in peoples junk inbox so please ensure you check that as well as your other inboxes.

Ensure your caps lock is not turned on and affecting the way your entering your password.

If the above process doesn’t work for you, then send a message to the Colour Me Pretty Facebook Page, make sure you include your account email address, asking us to reset your password manually.

Please allow an appropriate business time frame to respond to your message.

What payment method do you take?

PAYPAL, however you do not need a paypal account. You can checkout as a guest using your credit card.

AFTERPAY, you need to have an account with Afterpay in order to use this option.

BANK TRANSFER, select this option during checkout and follow the instructions provided.  Funds will need to be cleared prior to goods being despatched.

Do you have a showroom where I can see the colours in person or pick up orders?

Unfortunately we are an online only business and not open to public or trade.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes we do.  We currently have bundle deals available.  This is how to cash in on a great bundle deal.

  1. Go to our website
  2. Add products to your cart.
  3. Then in the Order Notes Section during checkout type in the name of your free colour.
  4. Select your Shipping Method & Select Proceed to Checkout.
  5. Enter your Billing & Shipping details.
  6. Please ensure you do NOT include 15ml bottles, Cats Eye, Royal or Fairy Range or Collections as these items are NOT included as Free items in our Bundle Deals. Failure to list the correct free item will result in us choosing a colour for you.
  7. Continue Checkout as per normal.

Once I have placed my order on the website, how long before it is sent? 

Orders are posted on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.
Provided your order is received by 11am on the posting day, it will be sent that day.
If it is received after 11am then it will be posted on the next posting day.

How much is Postage?

For NZ Postage we have had to comply with Standard Postage Prices.  Prices are calculated by weight and as as per Australia Post.

Postage is calculated as per Australia Post within Australia. You have the option to choose Standard or Express Post & select Signature & Insurance.

To add a Signature Upon Delivery it is an extra $2.95

You also have the option of purchasing Additional Insurance for products valued at over $100.  This is an additional $2.50

Colour Me Pretty is not responsible for any lost or non delivered parcels (provided we have correctly addressed them as per the order details).

Should you wish to guarantee your deliver then we strongly advise that you purchase insurance during checkout to ensure your items are covered.

How will my order be sent?

We use Australia Post.

Delivery times will differ depending on locations & shipping method selected.

Parcels are lodged at the Australia Post Pakenham Victoria branch, post code 3810.

How can I check the status of my order?

All orders are updated with a tracking number once I have lodged the order at the post office.  You can use this tracking number to check your parcels whereabouts on the Australia Post website

To access your order you just need to go to our website and login to your account.  Click on Orders.  You should also have received an email with this information.

Do you accommodate wholesale orders?

We sure do, please see the information under the Bulk Discounts Question.

Why is my Top Coat sticky?

Every layer of gel polish once cured should have a “tacky", inhibition layer.  This is what helps each layer adhere to each other. Use an alcohol based product like Cleanser Plus or Isopropyl Alcohol to remove your “tacky" layer of your Top Coat once cured.

What is the No Wipe Top Coat?

Exactly what it says, it leaves no “tacky" layer. Its applied, cured and voila, your done. No tacky layer to removed.

Our Ultimate Gloss No Wipe Top Coat is by far one of the most superior Top Coats on the market.

Our Diamond Gloss No Wipe Top Coat is also an amazing product however we don’t recommend trying to chrome or rub pigments into this top coat.  It can also leave a slight Blue Hue over Black colours.

How long do I cure my Colour Me Pretty Gel Polish?

Firstly you need to know your lamp type and wattage. Then adjust them to the times below.

UV 36 watt lamp (wavelength 200nm – 400nm) requires a 2 minute cure per coat.
LED 12 watt lamp (wavelength 400nm – 450nm) requires a 1 minute cure per coat.
CMP 54 watt Galaxy Lamp (wavelength 365nm-405nm) requires 30 seconds cure per coat.

Why is my Gel Polish lifting/peeling?

Product can lift/peel due to many reasons. What you use your nails for plays the biggest part in maintaining your manicure.

Your nails are “Jewels, not Tools", so in saying that, be careful with them.

  • Always use gloves when doing dishes or cleaning as chemicals can cause Gel Polish to lift.
  • Swimming within 24 hours of having your gel polish applied can cause lifting.
  • Medications can cause lifting, or even change in hormones.
  • The nail plate must be prepped properly for ultimate adhesion. Removal of all true cuticle and dehydration with a product like Isopropyl Alcohol or Cleanser Plus should be done.
  • Capping your free edge is also a major must.
  • Keeping your layers thin, even if it means doing an extra coat to get the desired colour depth will also help with a lasting manicure.

What’s your return policy?

We have a very strict no exchange or refund policy.

Due to Health & Hygiene issues we are unable to return any of our products.  Please ensure you choose your colours correctly at the time of purchase.

We have a Nail Gallery on our website where you can view the colours further to ensure your happy with your selections.

Whilst we ensure we take every precaution possible to accurately photograph our colours we cannot guarantee the accuracy of different device resolutions.  We do not filter our photos.

Our Galaxy Lamps have a 12 month replacement warranty for all manufacturer faults, but this does not include misuse.
